‘No-one thinks about IP the way Lola does’ Intellectual Property Office
Lola is a new kind of innovation studio. We unearth, develop and help our clients exploit their intellectual property more fully. We effectively re-purpose the ‘ingredients’ they already own to grow their business. It’s that simple.
We mostly work with creative, cultural and tech sector clients, from exciting young ventures like Smith & Sinclair, Taxo’d and Courier magazine to more established companies like Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop, Hackney Empire and Harvey Nichols. We also work with organisations such as the Intellectual Property Office, universities and industry bodies such as D&AD and the Design Business Association. Projects have taken us to Europe and the Middle East. Our work largely falls into 3 areas :
Intellectual assets and IP are the building blocks of what has got you to where you are now. They exist in pretty much every organisation. Once we have audited and mapped what you have, we build an ambitious strategy to nurture them, develop new products/services to drive new value. We are adept at spotting and exploiting unexpected assets.
Some companies and organisations own few intellectual assets and little IP. By working with you to understand your future ambitions, we can help you to develop new IP, reach into new markets or take advantage of your digital potential. Nothing is off limits and we will explore opportunities open to you across differing industries.
Founded in 2011, Lola is led by Erica Wolfe-Murray, who has worked as a creative head, a former FD, trend-spotter, mum and renegade in the board room.
Harnessing a unique mix of creative, financial and legal imagination, she is an established thought leader on business growth and the inventive use of IP. She has been called ‘the most out-of-the-box thinker in business today’.
In a sector where many companies are on a service model, we can help your company grow and build resilience through imaginative evolution of differing revenue models, ways of working and contracting. For us, creativity is not just about your work for clients, but is applied across your company itself through revenue models, contracts, ways of working.
