PIE is an expert at creating data, mapping and routing solutions for commercial vehicle fleets, local authorities, navigation system integrators and more.
PIE was set up in 2004, originally producing hard copy maps and guides for motorbike riders and disabled people. They continue to produce their PIE guides but as new technology became available, PIE began developing innovative ways of putting their extremely accurate data to work. They now collect and process road network information from more than 470 unitary and local authority organisations throughout the UK and provide everything from off-the-shelf online products such as London Lorry Route Approver to bepoke creations like the Transport for London (TFL) Freight Journey Planner.
What We Did
The opportunities open to Pie Mapping are extraordinarily wide, so Lola's work with them was to identify what order projects should be taken through the design/build process to market development and exploitation. The explosion of data, the development of smart city technologies and dynamic routing models are hot topics of conversation in our meetings, giving us the ability to enjoy developing the intellectual asset side of big data through creative processes.
