Prior to their acquisition by Fox, National Geographic TV Int’s London office wanted to develop inventive, new revenues from their moving content library. Prior to starting Lola, Erica part-owned a joint venture with NGTI to explore new IP opportunities under the name Dizzy Earth.
The NGTI archive was vast, with revenues already coming from distribution models, so how could we find new ways of using the material that built on their reputation but took them into different markets.
What We Did
By understanding the changing face of multi-platform and brand-linked opportunities, Erica evolved totally new properties from relatively small amounts of archive footage. By spinning these new properties across varied platforms., the revenue potential was increased with NGTI able to map new untapped partnerships and audiences. This is absolutely at the core of how we work - taking a simple overlooked asset, adding some creative magic to create new IP that can be exploited on a global basis.
